Convoy alternatives
Convoy, the Seattle-based digital freight broker, shut down in October 2023, so shippers who used it need another broker.
LinkLane is one alternative: an FMCSA-licensed freight broker with instant LTL rates and truckload quotes in under a minute, and booking and tracking in one portal.

What should I know about Convoy?
Convoy was founded and led by CEO Dan Lewis. Investors valued it at $3.8 billion the year before it closed, and it had raised more than $1 billion (Fortune, October 19, 2023).
It closed after a search for a buyer that lasted about four months and failed. Lewis cited a freight recession and tighter capital markets, and the workforce had already shrunk from a peak of 1,500 to about 500 (PYMNTS, October 19, 2023).
Flexport then bought Convoy's technology stack and hired a small group of its product and engineering staff, without taking on the full business. The price wasn't disclosed (Trucking Dive, November 1, 2023).
When is another option a better fit than LinkLane?
- You liked Convoy's own software specifically: Flexport bought Convoy's technology stack in 2023 and said it planned to relaunch Convoy's truckload service as part of Flexport.
- You need intermodal, bulk or international freight, which LinkLane doesn't offer; see the Uber Freight comparison for one multi-mode option.
